Our Story

Pederson Construction was founded by the late Elvin “Sonny” Pederson, who started the business with a pickup truck and a strong work ethic. Originally operating as South Texas Landscaping, the company focused on landscaping services before expanding into commercial site work and transitioning to Pederson Construction in 1984.

As the company entered the construction industry, Sonny built a 6-man crew and continued growing the business throughout South Texas into underground utilities, paving, concrete construction, earthwork, and other infrastructure services.

Sonny believed in leading by example and was never afraid of hard work. Even as the company grew, he continued working alongside his crews in the field and earned the respect of the people around him through the way he worked.

Today, the company is proudly owned and operated by Sonny’s sons, Jon and Paul Pederson, who continue carrying forward the foundation their father built decades ago.

Based in Los Fresnos, Texas, we take pride in serving the community we call home. From local improvements to large-scale projects, our reputation has been built through hard work, lasting relationships, and a commitment to doing things the right way.
